FOUND Pocket Sampler
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Found is an iPhone sampler and sequencer developed by Andrew Mead (“we,” “us”). This policy explains how the current Found beta handles information when you record sounds, create music, capture photos, export files, or participate in testing.

YOUR RECORDINGS AND PROJECTS
Found processes and stores your creative work on your device. This includes:
• Original and processed sound recordings.
• Photos you choose to capture for your sounds.
• Sound and project names, creation dates, and settings.
• Patterns, notes, tempo, mixer settings, and musical analysis.
• Exported audio and video files.
Found uses this information to provide recording, sound processing, playback, project storage, and export features.
Found does not automatically upload your recordings, photographs, or project files to us. You do not need a Found account, and Found does not operate its own cloud synchronization service.
MICROPHONE AND CAMERA ACCESS
Found requests microphone permission to record sounds when you use its recording features.
Camera access is optional and lets you photograph the source of a sound. Declining camera access does not prevent you from recording or playing sounds.
Found does not request access to your general photo library or device location. Captured photos are saved as new images without the original camera metadata.
You can change microphone and camera permissions in your iPhone’s Settings. Turning a permission off does not delete previously saved content.
EXPORTS, SHARING, AND BACKUPS
Found creates exports locally. When you choose to save or share an export, the destination you select receives that file. Depending on the export type, it may contain recordings, photographs, sound names, or your project name.
The apps, services, and recipients you choose handle those files under their own terms and privacy practices. Review the content before sharing it.
Your device’s normal backup features may include Found’s saved data, including in iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings. Those backups are separate from Found’s app features.
TESTFLIGHT BETA INFORMATION
When you use Found through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects diagnostic and usage information and makes it available to us. This can include device details, operating-system and app versions, installations, sessions, and crashes.
If you submit beta feedback, Apple also shares your comments, screenshots, and associated technical information. Your name or email address may be visible depending on how you joined the beta and what you submit.
We use this information to administer testing, investigate problems, respond to feedback, and improve Found. We do not sell it or share TestFlight reports with third parties.
Apple’s collection and retention practices are described in its TestFlight privacy notice:

SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use these to respond and address your request. Email is processed through the email services used by you and us.
Please avoid sending recordings, photographs, or other sensitive material unless necessary for your request.
Found contains no advertising or third-party analytics trackers. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
STORAGE AND DELETION
Found’s current beta retains saved recordings and photos so they can be reused across projects. Removing a sound from a pad or choosing “Clear all pads” does not permanently erase its files or remove it from the sound library. Trimming a sound retains its original recording, and replacing a photo may leave the previous image stored.
The current beta does not provide individual permanent-deletion controls for every saved file.
To remove Found’s app-local data, use iOS’s “Delete App” option. “Offload App” retains app data. Deleting Found does not delete copies already saved elsewhere, sent to other people, or retained in backups; manage those separately.
We retain support correspondence and any copies of beta feedback only as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, investigate issues, operate the beta, or meet applicable legal obligations. Apple manages information held in its services under its own retention policies.
YOUR PRIVACY REQUESTS
Contact amead02@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests concerning information we hold about you.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to complain to a privacy regulator. We will respond as required by applicable law.
We cannot remotely access or erase Found’s local files on your device. Information retained by Apple or another service may also require a request to that provider.
POLICY UPDATES
We may update this policy as Found changes. The revised policy will show a new effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request permission before introducing new uses of personal information.
